DESCRIPTION:White River Valley Players present: Simple Sage\, a one-act play written by local playwright Kate Youngdahl Stauss and directed by Michael Purdue and Mian O’Dowd. \nSimple Sage follows five women who occupy the same Vermont farmhouse in two different centuries.  Loosely based on startling historical events\, it focuses on love in its many forms\, including sibling love\, romantic love\, and love of place\, with themes of female empowerment and environmental degradation that still resonate today.
